                                                         At the paths of sun and stone

         Dry, sea - beaten rocks in the middle of the Aegean sea.
        Over them, one can see but few trees and the sun eternally

        mension, of another perspective, of another everyday life.

                To show you Andros, I would share a tomato with you at
        its beaches, I would cut open a sea-urchin with my penknife for
        you and I would offer you its deep red eggs while the saltiness
        would stretch the skin on our backs. I would dry a star fish and
        hang it on the wall so that your room would carry the smell of
        the Aegen sea.I would give you the perfume of a bougainvillea,
        of the geranium, of the scented jasmin and the wild caper to
        breathe. We would listen to byzantine hymns in the village
        church and we would suck honey from a bee-hive.

               Travelling to Hydrousa, Andros, greeting the passing - by ships, letting the mind
        drift accompaning the gulls, 250 m higher from sea...

                Here then, it is where played architect and the senses were the decorator, together
        with the most beautiful of all delights : tranquility and escapism to the beauty of the
        Aegean sea.

                It's a two - storey in Andros. In the past, the upper floor was used as the main
        residence while the lower floor served as strorage rooms, a grape - pressing room and
        stables. The owner undertook the task of itsreusal, seing through the exceptional
        possibilities of these ruins.

     Facing South West protected from the strong-
    western wind, over looking the sea through
    beautiful hills, dales and rivulets, the basic
    conditions to reformviate this traditional house
    were other optimistic.Thus, the function of the
    interior space changed radically, so as to combine
    the restoration of the old with the exploitation of
    the newly built spaces. The result was that an
    extra ordinarily special house, was reborn.
    Coming out to the court - yard or to the veranda
    the sun covers with its persistent rays the infinite
    beauty of the Andros nature. It is quite a spectacle
    really to let your eyes wander freely to terraced
        slopes and tender dales swiftly diving into the blue of the sea.

                So from here, 250 m above sea with a breath away from clouds and with summer
        smells the mind boards onto the wings of the gulls and the doves in order to travel
        into the magic of the Aegean sea. Even after the sunset...
